WHAT'S THE COST OF AN EXHIBITION STAND?

The most successful way to approach the cost of an exhibition stand is to decide how much you have to spend.

Your budget will determine the type of stand, materials and finishes you will be able to afford.

COST PER SQUARE METRE

There is a basic rule of thumb that any exhibition stand design company will use to give an idea of cost for an average stand. But

but it is never an exact science until we have a full brief and an idea of whether you are looking for a one off or multiple use or a single or double decker stand ( the costs quickly increase with the height of a stand). 

 

The chosen materials and finishes are also key to the costs and can add a good deal to the final cost of a stand.

Some of this is additional cost is attributed to labour but much of it is the cost of materials. Graphics, wall wraps and paint finishes can and do all add to the cost.

​

Display units, counters, meet and greet and cafe areas all depend on the quality and type of furniture, paint and finishes required to create the right impression for your business and also the longevity required.  Joinery is a specialised skill and therefore to ensure visual and practical perfection, has a higher man-hour price. Paint is an expensive medium as is carpet,  wood or vinyl floor covering and the price increases with the amount, quality and finish in all cases.

Here is a very rough way of calculating the ball park cost per square metre and will at least give you an idea of what to tell your designer when you speak to them.

 

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Though relatively small, kettles and coffee machines are expensive things to have on an exhibition stand. So think carefully, if you want to serve hot drinks, as a standard 3 kilowatt socket will cost circa £400 in most UK exhibition halls.  If you want a kitchen facility for washing up, this could add another £1000.  These are considerations to be made when you're planning what guest facilities you need and can afford to include on your stand.
